pitting the devils curse check the depth of the pitting any thing over 25% will need to be filled with weld [bondo devcon etc are basicly all the same fillers NO STRUCTURAL STRENGTH ] it takes...

similar laws came into effect here over twenty years ago and can say that it was for the better as it forced anyone who wasnt trained out of the repair industry and stopped the dodgy fly by nights...

ditto on the original ignition switch having trouble with current loads. Set mine up with a couple of high load relays and thats all it runs about 5 amps everything else is run through the relays ...

some brake fluids over time will attack the lead and start leaking also lead free is slightly harder than solder containing lead so can stand higher pressures
