Re: Gas shutoff valve

Drain most of the gas out and then jack the right hand side of the car up and put blocks or axle stands under it (for safety) before removing the valve.

Re: Small circuit breaker heats and opens

"Have to be careful",

You're so right. Around 25 years ago I had a Fluke 73 multi-meter, I was using it on the ohms scale, a co-worker borrowed it, didn't check the setting and used it on 208...

If anyone is replacing an A distributor cam with a new replacement B distributor cam, I suggest that you check the finish on...

Re: OK! Let's get personal!

I've never thought of driving a Model A or any of the other old cars as "fun", just nostalgic. I guess when I drove them "back then" they were just transportation and filled a need.

Re: New to Model A and Starter Question

Ditto,

Cables should be at least #1, preferably 1/0 (one ought) or 2/0. During cranking of a cold engine starter draw can reach around 300 amps, so you need good cables to ensure good starter...
