1. Glass bead or wire brush the plate down to bare metal.
2. Primer with Rust-oleum.
3. Spray the entire plate with lacquer that matches the number colors. Let cure for about a week.

Why is this idea obsolete today? I wish Ford, among others, would bring it back! Why? Because I got a quote to replace the heater blend door of my 2001 F150. It's a plastic door buried in the heater...

Does anybody know anything about the Memphis assembly plant? Years of operation? Last year in operation? Vehicles produced? Current location or status? Thanks.
