Thanks for all the information. I was told I should change my ground from the transmission tower to the frame. Said transmission should only be used as a secondary ground. It's always worked there...

I have spark from the coil wire grounded to the head. But it's not very strong spark.

Yes . Lights, horn and cranks. Points have been cleaned. Timing has been checked.

May need to replace the spring at the bottom end of the lever. That'll give it some extra pull down to the column notches.

I also used the stapled on strip method. It was still a booger but it worked. I wouldn't want to make a living putting in tank welt.

Would be great if you can drain and seal the tank. Of all the tasks I've done working on Ol Walter, removing and re installing the tank was my least favorite.

I'm almost positive that I saw this Hack in Visalia Ca. a couple of years ago . A Model A group had Visalia as a overnight stop on one of their cross California trips.
