Re: Door dovetail

Snyders has kits specific to year/model. Bought a set for my 30 coupe. Only required a bit of sanding of the rubber parts. Bit of silicone spray and clips popped in. Can't vouch for the 29 kit...

Re: 1930 Rumble Seat Toe Kick Carpet

Can't really tell from your picture but it looks like fabric remnants on either side of the toe kick. Is that interior fabric? It kind of looks like carpet binding.

Re: 1930 Rumble Seat Toe Kick Carpet

I'm not disputing you. The current upholstery is old but not original and only scraps of the toe kick carpet remain . I just happened to have Mike's catalog handy. I don't believe the upholstery...

Re: 1930 Rumble Seat Toe Kick Carpet

You are correct sir! At least on the April 30 Deluxe Coupe I have. It covers the metal seat riser. Only a few tatters remain.
I have leftover carpet from the interior and want to make one. It's...

Re: Help needed for 1930 Coupe Windlace Install

Nevermind. I forgot 30/31 coupes have unique top of door frame windlace core.

Re: Help needed for 1930 Coupe Windlace Install

Do you just use brush on weldwood contact cement? Brush on metal door frame or on windlace selvedge as well? Also, should contact cement be used on top of door frame windlace? The headliner is in...

Re: Interior Door Panels on Deluxe Closed Cars

Thanks Terry,
The carpeted strips on mine look to be the same as yours so I'm assuming it's LB as well.
Other than the carpet strips, the interior is in very good shape. I've removed the seats...

Re: Interior Door Panels on Deluxe Closed Cars

I assume the picture is the front edge of the door with the windlace. Do you have a picture of the back of the door and how the edge is wrapped?
Thanks

Re: Interior Door Panels on Deluxe Closed Cars

Perhaps sometime in the deep dark past the bottom of the cardboard panel was water damaged and cut off and the carpet strip just attached to the door frame.

Also, in your picture, the LB fabric...

Re: Interior Door Panels on Deluxe Closed Cars

Is it simply a strip of sq weave carpet with binding all around (like the floor carpet) that is then glued to the cardboard door panel? If so, what is used to cover the cardboard panel edges at the...

Re: Interior Door Panels on Deluxe Closed Cars

Like to see close up of cording and how panel is stitched/glued. Unless I'm missing it, I don't see any illustrations in the JS with that style panel.

Re: Interior Door Panels on Deluxe Closed Cars

Is the welting/cording on all 4 sides of the carpeted area?
Any close up pictures would be appreciated.
Thanks

Interior Door Panels on Deluxe Closed Cars

I've seen photos of 1930 Deluxe Tudor with a carpeted kick strip about 4" wide on the bottom of the doors panel? Did the Deluxe Coupe have these as well?
Thanks

Re: Rumble seat instal

They don't list them in the catalog but I purchased a pair of seat back clips from Snyders several years ago. Perfect fit and function. Recommend calling them.

I'm doing the same thing for the same reasons. Only difference is I'm using this for the .38" core.

I agree 100%! I do all of the same things. Wonderful experiences all around.

Re: DIY Windlace

Very resourceful! Probably not the correct pattern fabric but I bet it functions well keeping the wind noise out.
Money saved on windlace = money to spend on beer. Cheers!

Re: Door hardware

Snyders has door bumper kits specific to model and year. You may still need to slightly trim them but they are not one size fits all rubber pieces that are out there. There are also different...
