1956 F100 axle springs and spindles

Axle, spindles, and springs in great shape. Vehicle must have been garaged. I bought front end for the brakes.

Willing to sell springs separately. Considering listing on eBay.

Here is a photo of the backs. The first shock in this photo doesn’t indicate manufacturer and has no lock ring. Were there multiple manufacturers or maybe this one is a reproduction shock .

Thanks for sharing Tom. Did you make the internal hex using a rotary table and mill? What material did you make it from.

Picked up a set of houdaille shocks for 6$ a piece and am in the process of freeing them up. I am using MAPP gas to heat up the threads.

Is there a better tool to use to open grab on to the body...

Andy I didn't lock the opposing wheel, stupid me. Well worst case, I'd have to spend 300+ for a new 3:78 gear set

Sorry for not clarifying, the rear is of the car. No torque tube.

With the axle on the ground, what would be the correct method in verifying the gear ratio by means of pinion revolution and drum revolution. Do I have to lock up one wheel? Let's say I didn't lock up...

Model a unsplit wishbone, mint ball
