Hopefully that rear thrust washer is stuck on the backside of my timing gear. The 59 Ford Shop Manual doesnt show a nice assembly pic like the one you showed....

Did a search and I couldnt find any answers, so Ill have to ask here on the board.

I changed the timing chain on my 59 292. I installed the gear, fuel pump eccentric, spacer, washer and cam gear...

They look the same, but the horn button. I have a 39 Mercury horn button, but am wondering if it will swap into a 40 Ford wheel without modification.

The tube (#01902) bolts to the housing (#8014), which in turn bolts to the bottom of the front fender below the headlights....if i remember correctly....

Old thread, but what do you do about the distributor if you want to stay with 6v? As far as the vacuum goes? Im talking if you go with a 2g....

I may not have clearly asked the question. I was wondering about fixing the pits in the bases. I had already planned to get new throttle blades.

Are they sold as reproductions somewhere? I havent seen anything come up in an internet search or Fordbarn search, otherwise I wouldnt consider it.

Are the steering columns for the 52-54 fords the same as the Mercs?

As the header states, I want to take the Merc-o-matic out and replace with a 3spd OD....

'55 Mercury upper door trim wanted

I am looking for the upper door and rear quarter panel trim for a 55 Mercury. The trim that goes right below the glass. Doesnt have to be perfect. Thanks
