I recently purchaced a master cylinder for the 40 and I have noticed threads on the forum talking about some of these things sticking and holding the brakes depending upon where they were made.

Dang, that is what I thought. I am trying to run some LED bulbs or entire units for the rear taillights. All of the above require Neg. ground.

Does anyone have a Vintique wiper motor installed in their 40? I bought one to use however the instructions are slim at best and the bracket does not seem to be set in the correct position to work...

Where did you get your replacement cups? Napa no longer carries just the rebuild kits for some reason and yes the repops seem to be smaller in comparison.

Sorry guys, yes 6 volt system. That black canister is an optional air cleaner offered by Ford in 40.

Thanks, it does get cool here at times and boy oh boy these old engines can be cold blooded. That is why I wanted the throttle to work so I could allow it to warm up when needed.

Here is a shot of the engine. Interesting that the car seems to have a commercial air filter setup installed.
