Everything I see so far says 1930. Engine s/n and Budd wheels dated September 1930.

Sealing wax on condenser?

On page 214 of service bulletins it says to remove the sealing wax from condenser screw to remove. What was the reasoning behind the wax? To prevent the screw from loosening; or seal the distributor?...

I used brush. Looks pretty good on cast iron and you don't have to worry about the rattle can clogging up etc.,.

My AA has the bolts still on the frame and remnants of the long gone pans still under the bolts. If I ever get to that point I plan to install new ones.

Iím a newbie; just starting with an AA truck. Got my copy (green paper back version) of A /AA service bulletins today. Thanks for recommending it. This will be a big help.

Thanks to help received here, I managed to get breather pipe out without further damage, unfortunately it was pretty beat up by someoneís previous attempts. I also think it might be a replacement?...

I would price that engine at what the parts would be worth less the block and head. Very possibly the block is ruined if head froze.

I thought my sector was good till I put calipers on it. It was oval. If you think about it, it spends most of its life in relativity straight ahead position and that’s how it was worn.
