Just a thought here for any of us with a late '37 to '40 or '41 pickup.......if the torque
tube center whip bearing fails it is quite possible to replace the solid drive shaft' with a '35 - early...

used this intake on a lot of builds on early and late flatheads.....$219 brand new...

C'mon......most of us have squeezed more HP out of our flatheads and run or have run
stock pumps. A stock rad in good shape and a block that is clean internally will be
quite happy with stock...

Yep a garden variety dual action pump. Be wary of the off shore versions ( in my experience) rubber valves not so good. 337 Linc and big Ford trucks attach these

'34 , '35 and very early '36 had intakes that were quite smooth in appearance, the
runners did not stand out at all. A little way into '36 the intake design changed
radically and the runners...

Check out the SPEEDWAY 910-15985 2x2 intake......designated for 8BA but easily adapted to earlier flatheads.........this intake is a great copy of the Off'y 560-1075.
Carbs are a bit close but...

I'm guessing 43 has that figured out.......if this was my build I'd loose the extra deep
base on the pump and use the original style AC or Holley...much less deep

I have had good results on two recent builds.....'34 and '36 with DC head mounted pumps. Drain it and see what's going on, the guy at DC will ask that when Tuesday rolls around.

I would shorten the push rod and not go taller that the 1/2" spacer.

Shortening the p/r is a 5 minutes job , and the job looks better to my eye.

You MUST use the 8 ba push rod because it is larger in dia than the '48 on
back push rod, remember the push rod bushing in the block. The difference between the the 2 stands from the...

WABOOM......Good luck , I'm sure glad you painted the rad. Lots of guys run alum but religiously keep an eye on the ph. Most use the orange anti freeze. Today's rads are
all alum with plastic...

In conversations with Richard he asked me for a different 94 which I supplied him N/C.
No leaks on this carb per Richard. The original 94 was returned to me once the replace-
ment proved itself....
