Re: Determining Model A Gas Mileage

Have my own 300 gallon gravity feed tank at the house with non-ethanol gas, so I really don’t care what mileage is!

It hasn't changed in 10 years, still 3". Rather than buy a used S-10 transmission and rebuild it, mine is brand new.

Re: Shipping a Model A

Come on guys....Californians pay a price for special blend gas to save the planet! If you bitch about the price of California gas, does that mean youíre a climate change denier?

Re: t 5 tranmission

I've been running a T-5 for 10 years with none of the issues described by Brent. First off, before cutting the cross member, we made a piece that reinforced the cross member AFTER the cut using 8...

Re: ModelA Times

Having run the Per-Lux Ignitor (now the Petronix) on boats, Model A's and classic cars for 40+ years, the only failure I've had was self inflicted due to a bad ground. Based on posts here, I have to...

Re: Instead of advertising we pay yearly fee?

Over on the HAMB, we pay $50 a year for no ads. Not everyone over there pays. By the same token, if you register, you shouldn't see any ads. BTW, there are a number of vendors that extend...

Re: Tachometer for my model A

It's fun to watch the expression on an A owner's face when you run the tach to 3500 RPM on the chassis dyno. Too, ask your passenger to keep an eye on the oil pressure gauge while you're driving.

Re: Title goes with Frame or Engine?

Bought my first Model A in 1983. Since I was doing a Rootlieb Speedster, I bought a frame and running gear. The owner kept the CA pink slip and stamped a phony chassis number on my frame, as I did...

Re: Bill Williamson

There are three Model A sites. I find it interesting when you see the answers on each site when a person asks the same question three times. Kind of like doctor shopping to get the answer you want.

Re: U-haul open trailer

When I hit a campground, it takes about 5 minutes to take off the straps and push a button to tilt the trailer and off to dinner. No ramps makes it quick and easy.

Re: When is a "Model A" no longer a "Model A"

Then there is the "era correct" school of modifications. For instance, Ford dealers sold a down draft made by Stromberg-Bendix in 1931. There were a host of aftermarket heads, including OHV's...
