Re: 1936 Ford Pickup - Electric Radiator Fan

If you are 12 volt the best fan is from Cooling Components. Their fans are designed to fit the width of your radiator and come with their own shroud. You will need to run a relay also. They are not...

Re: '36 Cabriolet with an "18-F" prefix

The 54 prefix was also used on US cars with the V-8 60. Interesting that you have a "60" car that is prior to 1937 when the first "60"s appeared in the US.

Re: 1939 Ford-Mercury door pillar

The poster had put three photos on the V-8 Club website. Posted in the Mercury forum. Look for yourself to see what he is trying to accomplish with an old Mercury four door. I think he should be...

Re: '37 Dash Chrome Trim Pieces ?

Try E-6000 adhesive. It's clear and you can apply a small amount with a toothpick. Can be found at most automotive stores or hardware stores.

Re: 32 Cabriolet repro parts?

The rubber window seal looks the same as the later Ford convertibles (35-48). If they are the same then you can use the channel that is used on the later convertibles. You probably will have to...

Re: panhard bushings

Check with energy suspension. They have all sorts of urethane bushings and you may find some that will fit. I recall that years ago I used some urethane bushings from a rod shop that fit a four bar...

Re: rear signal lights.

Use the existing rear lights and just rewire according the instructions with the switch. Extra lights look terrible to me. Use the parking lights for the front signal lights or buy a kit that allows...

Privacy laws are probably the biggest obstacle to tracing ownership. Unfortunately people may want information on vehicles for nefarious reasons. Sadly crime is a fact of life and keeping criminals...

John, I can't speak about other year columns as I never tried the bearing in them. After not being able to use the wheel arrow bearing in the '40 column some years back I have been using the Ford ...

Re: 1937 Deluxe Turing Four-Door Sedan value?

Judging from the photos I would say somewhere between $14,000 and $16,000. Appears to be a nice old car, but it is a fordor which generally don't bring a lot of money.

Re: Amount OF TIME TO BUILD YOUR CAR

Bottom line if you are over 65 and don't have a lot of mechanical ability don't buy a project. You may not live long enough to drive it. I tell this to new guys to the hobby who want an old car. I...

Re: steering columm bushing

Just for info the wheel barrow bearing will not work on a '40 column. The lip on the bearing will not allow it to go far enough into the column so you can get the '40 wheel to come close to the end...

Re: Gauge wizards - need some help

I've always used the Mustang style reducer and they work fine for me. I had nothing but problems with the Runtz reducers. Also the later gas senders do not work well with the original gauge.

Re: 39 ignition key

Push the cylinder back in where it belongs and check to see what holds the cylinder on the mount. I suspect there is a screw that holds it in and the screw has loosened up.

Re: 1936 5w coupe interior overhead light removal

There's a gap in the snap ring. Use something sharp to get under it and remove the ring. Watch out to make sure the lens does not fall and break. No need to change the switch. just the bulb.

Re: steering columm bushing

C and G and other vendors sell a bearing retrofit kit consisting of a bearing, tapered sleeve and a spring. It is copied after a system that Ford began using in the 50's. I've used them many times...

Re: 32 fenders

Did you call Brookville? Just because they do not show on the web site does not mean they don't have them or know where they can be found.
