Re: I wish I would have waited

Re: Hot water heat?

What is that, a block heater? The only words I can read are 'Amazon' and 'Prime'. I think david was asking for a cab warmer using water instead of exhaust heat?

Re: Rear backing plates delima

As was stated above by Blockhead in post #13, the top of the rear track should be 1" from the rivet. See Model A Ford Mechanics Handbook Vol. 1 by Les Andrews (Red Book) page 1-41.

Re: Don't mess with my quail

Re: Pressure plate finger adjust

Well that's pretty close to what I attempted to convey only you said it better, haha. If the mounting surface isn't machined the same as the friction surface, you will have to adjust the pressure...

Re: Pressure plate finger adjust

Well there must be a lot of 'defective' pressure plates being sold. All of the vendors say to check the adjustment, some even sell a tool for checking.

I'm not sure how the factory can guarantee a...

Re: Pressure plate finger adjust

That's what I thought! How can you 'send' it to someone for adjustment? I use LocTite to secure the adjustment.

Re: Cold Weather Shifting

I agree. Even in SoCal on a cold morning I have to shift early to get in second and third. Downshift? Forget it when it is cold.

Re: Bud Vase bracket

Very nice Mike. Muck better looking than the 'sheet' metal looking ons the vendors have. I don't have any bud vases right now but if I did I certainly would buy a couple.

Re: grease gun adapter

I use a needle adapter and just hold it in the hole on original fitting. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PGC931O?pf_rd_p=ab873d20-a0ca-439b-ac45-cd78f07a84d8&pf_rd_r=2JHQ8RGFA8STQHCP229D

Re: 6 volt horn in 12 volt vehicle

I agree. I have been using this bad boy from Bratton's for years now. Not cheap but gets the job done.
