Re: Drake Sale:

Sorry but he doesn't... Carpenter is out of stock with some of the same stuff I need. It could be that Drake supplies Carpenter or Carpenter supplies Drake but no matter, they're both out of stock.

Re: Early Ford engin paint

What he said... this stuff is extremely re-coat sensitive for several months. I'm stripping and sanding an engine to get rid of it after I decided Hirsch Ford Red was a little too close to *#)!olet...

Re: 1940 Windshield Seal

My 40 has been going together with all Drake rubber... no problems with the fit or installation.

And I will add I've been using the Drake seals with glass from Auto Glassics in Oregon; everything...

Re: leaking brake fittings 47 1 ton pickup

Stat-O-Seals are really nice, I've used them on the aircraft a few times. They work great but are rather expensive. On Fords I've always annealed the copper washers and put a smear of Loctite 515 on...

Re: 47 pickup tranny

With 3.55 gears in the rear end you should be capable of well over 45 mph in 3rd. What kind of rpm are you turning at that speed?
