Re: '37 Body mounts / Door alignment

Check the door structure where the lower hinge attaches for signs of fatigue, cracks in the metal. Pick up on the back of the door and check the lower hinge area for movement.

Phil, per the Ford service bulletins, turning the adjustment clockwise increases the damping and counterclockwise decreases the damping.

Probably not a good idea, the horn rod tube is very thin wall tubing and very likely to be deformed.

I agree with your thinking, 1937 had the water pumps located in the block and block off plates were used to install that engine in earlier models.

The speedo on the right is a 1937 standard due to the three digit trip odometer. I am guessing the other two are 1938 deluxe based on the four digit trip odometers.
