Re: Merry Christm"A"s
I was 14 years old and my big brother took me to see this Model A at his fraternity house. I was mesmerized and took a couple pictures of it. 59 years later I painted this for our Christmas card.
I...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
My gear shift lever spring scummed to age and moisture. I'm sure I could buy a replacement or some spring that would work. Not wanting to leave the shop I thought I would see what I could devise. It...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
I wanted to clean up a spare generator for the '35. It was reluctant to come apart. After soaking it with penetrating oil and then soaking it in water it was still stuck. I thought maybe a gentle...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
I was pleased to find out that a gas tank I bought 25 years ago hoping I could make work actually was the correct tank for the panel. I will have do do some work to make the filler fit.
Before...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
Well I rebuilt a later carburetor and tested it and the rebuilt starter and switch. All worked fine. I also found out the oil pump works well as I had put the oil filter gasket in crooked dumped a...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
Thanks. As for beaters, this is and will remain one. I had visions of making it as nice as Don's but that won't happen. The panel was rolled in the 40s. The frame was badly bent so I will mount it on...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
Well, I've had the vehicle for about 50 years but didn't have a workable motor until a Street Rodder friend gave me one he took out of a running '36 so he could put something more modern in. That...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
As for the ugly green thing, I put a battery in it and tested the new switch. Not only does it work but after pouring a little gas down the throats the engine fired. I guess you all know that thrill....

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
While I'm at it I have questions about three holes in the intake manifold. I'm guessing the threaded one might be for a vacuum wiper. The other two don't seem to go to threads. Are these for manifold...

Re: The Ugly Green Thing ('35 Panel Delivery)
I have been delinquent in doing anything on the panel for sometime until last month. I managed to put new head gaskets in and now have the engine in the frame and much is hooked up. While waiting for...

Re: model T running board aprons ?
I would say they are 23-25. The two slotted holes that bolt to the running board were not until then. The MTFCA Ford Encyclopedia states "Same as earlier boards but drilled differently." I think that...

Re: identify year of this block
It is possible that there is an eighth digit which would make it a July 1925 block. Does it have provision at the front for a generator?
