Re: New member intro and a question about mirrors

I love my passenger side mirror, especially when I am backing out of the garage. I tried that c-clamp thing from Drake, it makes a great paper weight. Burt's Model A sells ($50 when I bought it) a...

Re: Media blast?

Besides Harbor Freight, I can't find a local source for a reliable Soda Blaster, but I do have access to a glass bead blaster. How does one get all the media back out of all the cylinder head ports...

Re: Ford built last bomber shot down in WWII

One of the last, if not the last B-29s, the "Tinny Anne", flying off of Tinian Island, was shot down on May 29th, 1945. I have a friend whose uncle, was on that plane. They were laying mines in one...

What does the square end fit? The bottom of the sending unit looks like a 7/16" or 1/2"

Re: Changing Standard Steering Wheel to a Banjo on a 1936

The complete steering column mechanism is also held to the dash by two bolts that can be removed by reaching up under the steering column. Easier than drilling out the break-off bolts.

Re: CA YOM License Plate Program Question

If you have the physical metal plates in your possession, it would seem to me that no one else could register those numbers, thus, you don't have anything to worry about. It is not like someone is...

Re: install of worm gear on steering shaft

Do you want to rent that great tool out? I am sure there will be a long line. I need to press the '37 worm gear on to a '36 shaft. I have been told a press will bend the shaft. I have been told that...

Re: What is this radio out of?

It is the 5 foot cables that are the mystery. Yes, the box does have the standard Ford mounting ears. The head on the left is '36, the head on the right is out of a '35.

Which model would need 5...

What is this radio out of?

It looks like a 35-36 but the length of the cables is five and a half feet. From looking at the 35-36 book, the head is definitely out of a 35, which makes since the waterfall is that of a 35. ...

Re: 35-36 ford cabriolet door length??

Is it truly a Cabriolet with roll-up windows? A quick internet look and I see lots of Roadsters without locks on either side.

Re: I need a V8 in my life

Biggest recommendation is, "Buy one that you can see for yourself", or "one a Barner" can verify its existence and condition for you. If no one can actually see it, it probably doesn't exist. Too...

1935-36 Dash Light Switch

I took my '36 dash light switch apart because it did not work. I have just been bypassing it so I thought I would see what is inside and was it fixable. Well, no, its not.

The little L piece near...
