Re: flathead mercury EAC engine info needed

It's not the blocks that were dated but the date that the complete engine was assembled/tested and ready to install.

Re: flathead mercury EAC engine info needed

Re: PayPal and eBay getting a dicorce

Ebay is required to charge sales tax for just about all states.
They are not getting any kickback from the states but the states are now getting sales tax that they did not get before the ruling.

Re: 4bbl intake for 8BA

Yes, there are intakes without the offset available from various sources but seeing that I already had the Offy manifold, my solution to the same shroud interference problem, was to fabricate an...

Re: PayPal and eBay getting a dicorce

As I saw it Paypal will still be there but a small percentage of business will be directed to another service provider.

Re: Air Cleaner Mystery!!

If there is not any way to shut off the flow from the air cleaner to the breather, a carburetor backfire could turn the engine crankcase into a hand grenade..

Seriously doubt you will readily find anything but something could be fabricated without any machining other than drilling the hole in the bolt for the Bowden cable.
Just have to make sure that when...

Re: 1952 Ford Ranch Wagon VIN

Either someone took it off to fix or paint the car or there is some

'hanky-panky' going on and the number on the frame doesn't match the plate

There may or may not be the same number stamped on top of the frame rail
in line to just in front of the firewall. (right or left)
Incidentally...

Re: Fuel pump pushrod length

Most of the original 8BA rods are all steel and the ends are brazed into the tube....

Crash happens, and gas pedal or linkage is damaged so as to cause the engine...
