Re: Extreme coil & plugs, why ?

Poor quality gasoline seems to be a prevalent issue these days. When my wife and I travel, the fuel economy in the same vehicle, same load, same speeds, nominally the same octane gas, we routinely...

Bruce Horkey has them in stainless, polished stainless, and ones to paint. They can also punch the holes wherever you want them, cut to length, sell end pieces, and sell the mounting hardware. They...

47 1-ton wheel cylinder kits

One of my neighbors has a 47 1-ton truck. He has a leaking wheel cylinder. He bought wheel cylinder kits from one of the major suppliers and they won't work...apparently wrong size. My spare parts...

Re: Who sells frame bolts that look like rivets

On one of my vehicles I used the same hardware that tubman recommends. There was no body mounted on the frame when I did it, so I didn't fill the holes until after installation and then painted the...

Re: Hub cap identification

The very first picture showing all of the caps has a stack of 3 wide caps on the far right and two to the left, one of which is in the top picture asking for identification. On the far right stack,...

Re: Nut and bolt gauge for Early Ford

Tinker...I am not familiar with what the 38/9 pickup beds used. What length bolts are you seeking and how many do you need?

Re: Nut and bolt gauge for Early Ford

A bicycle I am trying to restore for a friend uses 12-24 machine screws and a long 12-24 hex head maybe 5-6 inches long. Maybe if they are unavailable elsewhere a bicycle shop would have them.

Re: 2019 Iola Pictures

Daryl is a tad abrasive. There used to be a guy who set up at Iola fairly close to him who felt obligated to try to one-up Daryl on the obnoxious and vulgar scale. I used to run into Daryl at...

Re: 36 Car Headlight buckets

Crabby...If fixing yours doesn't work out for some reason, Dennis Carpenter has quite a few 36 passenger buckets in their NOS department. There are a few 40/41 seal beam buckets mixed in with the...

Re: 1939 Pickup Headlight buckets

Nick...The 36 passenger car bucket hollow mounting bolt is far shorter than the 35 passenger and the other buckets you list. The 36 passenger bucket will not work on the 38/9 pickup without changing...

Re: 1939 Pickup Headlight buckets

The 38 and 39 pickups buckets were also the same size as the 40/41 truck buckets that had a factory seal beam. The headlight stands for the 40/41 were the same dimensionally as the ones for the 38/9...

Re: 1947 1 1/2 ton truck...maybe?

alanwoodieman….Thank you for your response. The pictures of 47's I found online showed the filler neck on the passenger side. The truck my neighbor has apparently had the filler neck removed and the...

1947 1 1/2 ton truck...maybe?

One of my neighbors has a 1 1/2 ton truck that he believes to be a 1947 Ford. It is an 8 cylinder flathead. It is 134 inch wheelbase with a dual rear end. Where is the gas tank supposed to be on a 47...

Re: 1936 ford pickup

I do not believe that 36 model year had a 60hp engine option. The 37 frame should have the mounting holes for the 36 pickup cab and sheet metal. The brake mechanism is not the same but if you are...

Re: Another banjo wheel question

Ray...The 37 horn rod will not interchange with a 35 if using a 35 steering wheel. The 35 horn button end is significantly larger in diameter.

Re: Oldest daily driver... with highway speeds

I was having problems with my 2003 Ford F-250. Had to replace the fuel pump. The pump is inside the tank which had a bit over 30 gallons of fuel in it when it pooped out. That was not a whole lot of...
