Re: Final Issue of FAST Magazine?

I sat in on the meeting when Ron Mosher took the job editing the FAST magazine. Having some experience in the magazine biz and I would rather herd cats. It’s too bad that there is some bad blood...

Re: Adding Guages

The only reason to have an oil pressure gauge is to panic passengers when it reads 0 to 5 PSI. I have a volt meter and vacuum gauge. The MotoMeter is more than enough for water temp.

Re: Ford Licensing Article in Model "A" News

As mentioned by me and others, this has to do with intellectual properties like the parts numbering system and logos. This has nothing to do with quality control.

Re: Ford Licensing Article in Model "A" News

About 35 years, I met the attorney who set up the Ford licensing program. This became the basis for similar programs at GM and Chrysler. When I was in the ad business, I crossed swords with Mack...

Re: Fuel Tank Purchase

Think outside the box. Put a Speedway 11 gallon tank in a trunk located in the bed of your truck. No one will know the difference as 6v fuel pumps are available.

ARP head studs

Picked up an ARP catalog at the GNRS and see that they have a head stud kit for the Model A with polished SS acorn nuts and washers. Part number is 151-4002.

Re: Fine point judging...a simple question

No. Read the title of the thread: Fine point judging....a simple question. If I thought that paint color had an influence on the number of FPJ cars, I wouldn't have asked the question!

Fine point judging...a simple question

The thread on non-traditional colors had several posters making the point that cars with these sorts of paint jobs would be devalued by purists. I'm curious as to whether or not the number of cars...

Re: Non-Authentic Paint Colors & Schemes

Author Clive Cussler has an impressive collection of cars in a museum near Denver. One room is devoted to French cars of the 1930's. Almost all of these cars have non-stock paint jobs. Lot's of...

Re: High compression head choice.

Started with the original B-F head and went to the B-F Super Head and never looked back. Hard to find a B-F head as Larry quit making them years ago.

Re: charge battery via alternator lug

You can see the positive post on my remote battery terminals. About $20 a pair at Speedway plus cables. Easy to use jumper cables and trickle chargers

Re: battery relocation

I have remote battery posts on both of my A's as well as the trailer. Makes it easy to charge a battery as well jump starting. About $20 from Speedway plus the cable.

Re: Oil Filter Model A on timing cover

At $172, I can afford a number of oil changes! Sold the aFORDable kit here years ago. Because I have headers, I had the remote mounting kit. Much easier to change the filters. Cut open the...

Re: pinto engine on model A

Building a high horsepower, reliable Model A engine is equal to the price of at least three SBC crate engines.

Re: Model A Registration Woes

Over on the HAMB they have pretty much eliminated threads like this. Most of the ideas here border on the illegal. Maine has a set of rules. Ask their DMV what is acceptable. Finally, consider...

Re: How Many Model A's are left ?

Every time this question pops up, I make the suggestion that MARC and MAFCA do a joint project and poll the insurance companies, state DMV’s and museums.

I worked for sears in 1958 and they had Model A short blocks and long blocks. Lots of tires and brake shoes
