There are 2 bolts per side that hold the bumper bracket to the frame. The attached picture showed the two special bolts that also holds the Radiator splash apron. They are correct for a 30-31...

Here are 3 pictures of the pin strip on my (early May) Victoria. It was repainted over the original in 1980, so it is a little wide. I would think that it would be the same on both the leather...

The trunk rack uses the same 2 bolts per side that the rear bumper cross brace uses. The correct order from the outside to the inside (if you have a full width rear bumper) would be: Trunk rack...

If you have a 1930-31 AA with dual rear tires, Radials will probably rub between the tires where they expand at the bottom from the load.
Ford had problems with the bias ply tires rubbing during...

My Victoria has had clamp on wind wings since new, I believe. I like them because I can easily take them off if necessary.
You will probably need to cut the glass at an angle.

It was made from an early 1930 (Jan to May) AA truck. Early 30 trucks had the new heavier AA front and rear axles with the 28-29 body style cabs and fenders. The headlights appear to be 30-31...

My guess - when you applied the emergency brake, the two sides of the band expanded evenly from the stop. Then you rotated the drums which moved one edge of the e. band to the stop, then they held.
