the c engines were junk.they not only had block problems but the heads cracked and wore their valve guides.

i went out and checked some pans i have one had the washer on the inside and two had none at all and didnt seem to be leaking.these are of rebuilds so who knows.some may be using washers on both...

yes the c faces back.the steady rest is bolted to the motor so you cant change that.you must have power steering or air as these come close to touching the steady rest.

the car dipstick and tube is not the same as a truck but i have seen them used.there are 3 or 4 dipsticks and tubes that go together with the base.you often see them mixed up so you dont get the...

there is no secret to these things.ive had 2 or 3 in a row that didnt leak and figured ive got it now.then 2 that leaked.sometimes it took 3 tries to stop it.

cant add much except if its a 4 dr h t its a fairlane with the base v8 which is 292.as was said if its a 312 it will have a 4 bbl and a D in the vin.

what kind of rings did you use.i had trouble with a set of moly rings.the first time i saw a pcv in that spot i wondered.the dist, spinning in the cam gear is going to throw a lot of oil around.most...
