Hi Chris,

it's my understanding the "A" is for Model A and the "R" means replaced. The the part should next have a "B".

I could be wrong.

There is absolutely zero for and aft play, the shaft is shinny and bright. The impeller is blackish with some rust coloration. The backside of the pump is rusty and I can rub rust...

The problem with Temporary fixes that you buy, is they eventually clog the tubes in your radiator. The problem is even worse with our old radiator's that are half clogged anyway.

I saw those but they looked a little ratty on the inside. I couldn't see what the condition was inside the camshaft plunger recessed area, ... but he did have a nice clean one...

On hold.

I removed the timing cover and degreased it and found a crack at the left motor mount hole going down and to the right.

Anyone know who sells them?

Iv'e only gotten as far as scratching my butt on it. The 25% coupon does sweeten the pot enough to start scratching my chin instead.

I live in California and I am able to get lacquer from a paint shop in Arizona that deals with Classic car's. They would mix my color's and ship it to my house. I'll look for a can and post the info....

Why not go over it with Clear Lacquer, ... It will melt right into what you have now, a perfect match. If you use Clear Lacquer you'll probably be able to spot paint it instead of doing the whole...

Update,

Well the job's done and it's all back together awaiting to be installed on the car.

The top bushing which I installed first didn't go in as smoothly as I wanted and the bottom went in...

The shaft fit's the bottom bushing fine but the top one need's reaming as I cannot get the shaft in from either end of that bushing.

What is the diameter of the reamer that is needed? :confused:...
