Make sure any Weber you buy is the proper Spanish made original as supplied by Sammy and stocked by Snyders, and not the Chinese knock off...

Another alternative is a close ratio gear set in the original transmission

Belchers in the UK offer two sets:-

18T/29T

1st = 2.592 - 1

2nd = 1.543 - 1

Yes it does. My mate Phil has just done it. We checked the compression and got 125 across the board. Estimate around 7.2:1

In the UK a period mod was to fit the centrifugal advance distributor from the little sidevalve Popular/Prefect/Anglia engine

They drop straight in

Thousands of these cars imported to the US so...
