Re: Anyone part of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America Southern California Regional Gr

Yes, I just heard back from them and it's still a go. These club swapmeets are the best to find parts but are usually small.......this one is super small (maybe 8-10 people selling). But another...

Re: Fire Extinguishers

Every car has a 5lb Halotron extinguisher. No shaking, no mess and they have a longer shelf life.

Anyone part of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America Southern California Regional Group

I was wondering if their swap meet is still on for tomorrow as it's going to rain in the am.

Re: Oldest daily driver... with highway speeds

I get the point of the OP. The fact that they CAN go over 200k, have a/c, ps, pdb, pw, a super smooth ride is irreverent if you want character and a soul. It's like a time machine to those of us who...

Re: Looking For A 15" Modern Radial Tire

I've used 215 on 5" wide wheels without crowning, but I would say no wider. I would look for some type of commercial tire as regular 75 series car tires look too balloony to me, the sidewall bulges...

Re: Tom is back !!!

Only real issues with those are window regulator/motors, some have fuel pressure reg problems and some have a problem with trans pressure solenoid.

Re: Bendix brakes

I have a older Bendix setup on my '47 (front and rear) and had 2 sets of aftermarket drums that were totally warped (different vendors but same manufacturer). Next set of drums will be the Lincolns.

Re: amother radiator question, 36 coupe

I figured there would be a good old timey radiator shop in the LA area that could tackle the '36 radiator.

I bought my ‘36 from Lynn. I only meet Harold after his son was running C.W Moss, but was a super nice guy.

Re: Fenton headers in 47 coupe

Close to the box but clears, just make sure the rubber mounts aren’t collapsed. Tight fit and kind of a pain in the butt on the 7/16” front bolts. The biggest issue for me was the dip stick tube,...
