Was it possibly a coupe which had it's trunk/rumbleseat removed and a wooden box installed in the opening?? Many Model A's were converted like this during the war.

Re: Suspect several here have been there

I've used the Motor Medic, Rislone, MMO (still do in the 40), etc.

Brings back many memories, like a trip from W Springfield MA to Newport RI at night in a 60 chev 6 cyl. Had to stop and add oil...

I recently saw a pic of the car being striped on the assembly line (can't remember where, maybe the HAMB) by two women, one on each side.

Re: starter bendix

19Fordy
Having had an A for 9+ years I'm well aware of the broken spring saga. The Bendix in there now has a bind on the spiral so going with new , coming from C&G. OK , will install dry.
Thanks...

starter bendix

Getting ready to install a new original style Bendix.
Should there be a light coating of oil (3 in 1) on the spiral part of the Bendix??
