I opened the hole in the mirror bracket to match the diameter of the door hinge pin, and used a hex head bolt in lieu of the hinge pin. Chrome covers dress-up the bolt head and nut.

Re: Body to frame question
The body blocks & their rubber pads setup the clearance between the running board aprons and body. I strive to get a clearance of 0.25" after shimming the body for alignment.

Re: B headgasket
The gaskets are the same except for 2 coolant holes that are in the Model B gasket. The Model A gasket is on the left. You can use the Model B gasket in both the Model A and Model B engines.

In 12V electrical systems with breaker point ignitions, ignition coils start the vehicle on 12V through the coil, and the resistor drops the coil to 6V to 8V once the engine is running.

You need to be concerned with the hi-voltage components of the distributor that are the body and the rotor. Modify a distributor cap so you can see what is going on as the rotor passes the #1 contact...

I had this problem when restoring my 190A. Rather than rework the original holes in the firewall, I pulled the holes in data plate using a rat tail file. Look closely and you can see the elongation...

The valve chamber is vented to the atmosphere via the crankcase, so once pumped oil reaches the end of the tube in valve chamber, its gauge pressure is zero.

Before giving up on your shocks, try changing the tire pressure. let the tire sidewalls do some of ride damping. Try 32, 30, & 28 psig.
