Re: 1963 Hot Rod Ford Performance Handbook Ford 406

We're using them for engine building guides.

Looks like Ford never put out the factory hop up guides like Chrysler did.

Re: Ford Industrial Arts Awards

Here is some info on it.

Looks like it was pretty big.

before stuff could be put on the net.

Re: 1963 Hot Rod Ford Performance Handbook Ford 406

'good Y block info'

That makes sense. They were still using them a lot in '62.

The introduction of the 260-289 is pretty messy to figure out.

Here it is in this Wikipedia article.

1963 Hot Rod Ford Performance Handbook Ford 406

This is on it's way here.

That is probably a 406 on the cover.

Re: 1954-Orphan Ford OHV V8 (Y Block)

The '54 was the '52-54 body run.

The first two years were mechanically behind the looks of the car.

Same thing with the '49-51 body run.

The body was the 'All New' post war airplane...

Re: 1954-Orphan Ford OHV V8 (Y Block)

You start here with the '49-51 Ford on Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1949_Ford

You go up to the '60 coming out.

Re: Offenhauser Chevy 265/283 To Ford Manual Transmission Adapter

Thanks Ponymare

50's and early 60's were the heyday of engine swaps.

By the 70's these parts were going begging.

The factory big engines made swaps useless.

Re: Stromberg Aerotype Two Barrel Carburetor

Happy New Year's!

Yesterday loosened up adapter and it won't budge.

This is one hefty carburetor!
