gas mileage

Here in eastern ontario where gas is 6.84 a gal. for shell 91. It cost me to fill up the 49 82.00 ouch. The car has OD with a 378 gear on a trip I average 16 to 18 mph. Being on a pension the dollars...

I have just started looking for a rad. for the 49, winter project. Ebay has one from GPI rad. aluminum 2 1/2 inch. 3 row $227.00 from china??. any ideas. jack.

The operator told me that the average loss is 15%, I don't know the horse power of the 49 engine but I would guess it would have 120 hp?. Jack.

I understand if you drain the rad and fill it with pure vinegar and drive it for a few days drain it and do this 3 times that it will clean the rad??. thanks for any help. jack
