Re: What Gasoline that has NO ethanol in it?

Because they know it's better gas and recreational folks want it. Like diesel it should cost less to make but they charge more. It takes more energy and cost more to produce 1 gallon of ethanol gas...

Re: 1938 Ford Pickup wheels/tires

Another thing to consider is the condition of the wheels. Are they nice and smooth or pitted slightly? Does it look like the bead will seal and hold air? I have a '39 pickup. I'm running the radial...

Re: Pat McFarlane RIP

I got to know Pat from EFV8 Club national meets. He was a nice guy. He was a familiar face at every V8 meet I attended.

Congratulations. You'll enjoy that truck. You don't find old Fords like that where I live. I'd be excited too.

Re: 1947 Ford Super Deluxe options

You choose wisely. I encourage you to continue to look for a 46-48 Ford. You'll find one that is ready to drive for a good price. The market is soft and these 46-48 fords are affordable to get into...

Re: 1947 Ford Super Deluxe options

Bare with me here. I would pick it up for $1500.00. Then I would part it out. I would then take my proceeds and purchase a '47 sedan in a little better shape. I think the proceeds from selling the...

Re: Vapor lock or not ?

Make sure your ignition system is operating at 100% efficiency. A weak coil, bad wires, a distributor that needs rebuilt or timed can cause you a lot of starting problems.

Do you have an electric...

Re: 1947 Ford Super Deluxe options

No. Side shift transmissions are very easy to come by. I have several lying around.

There are also many, many 1946-1948 Fords out there. It would probably be worth while to pass on this project...

Re: Anyone own a 1966-1967 Fairlane 500?

Nice looking Fairlanes. I don't know why but the 2 door hardtops appeal to me. I've never driven one but I can imagine a 390/4 speed car would be wild.

Re: Are Mustangs still collectible?

I'm picking up a nice 351W soon from a guy who is giving it to me. It's an early 1970's 351. I installed an aluminum 4 barrel intake, 4 barrel carburetor and long tube headers with dual exhaust years...

Re: Are Mustangs still collectible?

What structural upgrades were on these mustangs with the factory 390 option? If a '67 will accept a 390 it should accept a 351. I also wonder how much more weight a 351 is compared to a 289? The bore...

Re: Are Mustangs still collectible?

I've thought about upgrading my engine from a 289 to 351 Windsor. But then I think it's not necessary. It'd be fun though.

Anyone own a 1966-1967 Fairlane 500?

As I was recently searching for old Fords for sale online I noticed I don't see many 1966-1967 Fairlane 500, two door hardtops in XL's or GT's for sale?

Did many of these cars survive? Recently we...

Re: Are Mustangs still collectible?

Thanks for opining everyone. I have a '67 coupe. I've owned it for about 18 years. I did a lot of work to it, floors, torque boxes, rear quarter panels, truck drop offs, outer wheel wells on rear and...

Are Mustangs still collectible?

Mustangs used to be a car that folks bought, restored and collected. It seems like unless it's a special car, fastback or related, nobody wants them. I believe the market for any of our early Fords...
