When you rebuilt the engine did you paint the timing cover and carefully put it on to avoid scratching the new paint? You may have insulated the distributor from ground.

The doors are the same except for the holes that hold the chrome trim. Yes, you will need to trim the top rear corner as you mentioned.

I have another 1937 MH pickup. It worked hard on a Colorado mountain cattle ranch. Truck is complete, as found, needs work, engine turns. I got it for parts to fix my 1941 Marmon Herrington.

Bart , I have 20" wheels as came on 1 1/2 ton dual wheel trucks. If yours is a 1 ton it should use a 17" wheel. Your search for a 600x20 makes no sense. I can probably help but need to know more,...

I have a NOS kit in original Ford box that fits 1948 trucks. It is a pressed steel plate painted Tacoma cream that mounts to the lower edge of the dash. It uses a 1946/8 Ford or Mercury car radio....
