After cleaning out the rad and refilling it there is no sign of any issues with it. I wasn't sure if this was an old trick to raise the water temp by slowing down flow through the rad.

Has anyone ever heard of stuffing the top of a rad with hemp rope? I drained the rad today to put antifreeze in. When I looked in through the filler neck I saw something floating. I reached in with...

Noisy bumper brackets
I was wondering how to tighten up the rivets on the rear bumper brackets of a tudor?

A trick I saw somewhere was to partially inflate the tube inside the tire before installing the tire. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like it should work better than trying to force the flat tube...

I just had the same problem and in my case the flasher unit had gone bad in only 3 months use. Waiting on a replacement now. Nobody near me stocks 6V flashers.

When my lights developed a dead short I eventually took the headlight switch apart and found a small blob of grease inside that would make contact when the switch was turned. Probably not a common...

A local rad shop suggested leaving it filled with CLR cleaner overnight if it's off the car. Picture what ends up in a humidifier or dehumidifier.
