Iím with tinker, I use a cheap harbor freight gun for primers. I owned a Eastwood gun and have thrown it down to a primer only
Gun. I hated it, and had a lot of peel with it.

I had one apart and there is no way I would attempt to rebuild or sneak a coil in...

A friend of mine that owns a early ford parts store SWEARS there is a method to dry out the coils and seal them and they never go bad. Maybe this was whom yours came from?

PayPal and eBay getting a dicorce

I noticed today starting this sometime year, eBay will be processing their own payments for buyers and sellers rather than going through PayPal (like amazon does).

In my opinion there is not a base line sample for a scope test. We used a snap on scope when I work at the GM dealer, but every car was the same. Nowadays we run different compression ratios spark...

Rear ends on these early fords are quite different to set up compared to a modern rear. As you can see in the photos I set them up on their sides. I have another rear to do next week so...

Jim,
I presume you use the modern Echlin condensers for the 42-48's. The test nearly identical (.02MFD difference) compared to the NEW Model A's

I've used .31 Mfd condensers on all my 42-48...

That is the bracket used starting in 1935. The 32-34ís used a short straight stem mirror. They are quite hard to find these days

As of recent Mac’s gets theirs from carpenter (as do we) as they are the only show in town right now. Shop around as prices vary drastically from vendor to vendor.

Given the quarantine situation Iíve been at work pretty much non stop. Our parts sales business staying steady and strong thankfully, and in the last week I gotten a lot of bigger rebuild jobs...
