Re: Jack Bahm passed

So sorry to hear of his passing. Loved his videos, his delivery, and irreplaceable knowledge. He will definitely be missed.

Re: Best Car Cover

BTW - going from the one to other - thought I'd include pics. The barn is about 24'x53' so once stabilized - maybe more room for toys (but I won't let the Mrs. know that part).

Best Car Cover

We recently sold our house, with my favorite part being the 3.5 car garage. The home we're going into has a large barn, but currently unstable so I have to invest in getting it back in shape before...

Re: Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

The previous gear was a non-metal gear. It had wear marks in the bolt holes (elongated), but didn't appear otherwise damaged. I just thought about what you said - aluminum so definitely won't pick...

Re: Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

Thanks.

Removed fan belt and same level of intensity of noise an clanking kept up consistently. I then removed the oil pump retaining screw and oil did fly out of the hole with a fair amount...

Re: Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

If it may be this here is my question. I had the oil pan gasket replaced recently. If the oil pump retaining screw was tightened against the pump so it didn't fall out, and wasn't loosened up...

Engine Noise Again- Help-Opinions?

Took the old girl out for a drive earlier today but at the end she got really noisy. In December the camshaft gear was replaced as it was well worn. Now I've seem to have another set of noises -...

Re: Tudor driver door sliding lock install and correct function?

When I purchased mine the lock on the drivers did not function. Purchased a new assembly, and when tightened, the door handle was very tight to operate - almost unusable. I lined up the two...

Re: Shock Link Question

Thanks for all the advice. Once replaced the link is now firm, no wobble. Filled up the shocks and took it for a ride yesterday - less noisy as well as better ride.

Shock Link Question

The weather was finally warm enough here in Upstate NY to finally start tackling a couple projects - one of them being the shock links. The condition of the ones already on the car was VERY loose as...

Re: WD40 rust release

In Upstate NY I use WD40 on my snowblower chute and blades everytime before use. Works especially well to prevent heavy snow from clinging to blades, impeller, and chute.

Hopefully...

Re: Time to buy tires

I purchased a set of Lucas tires last year. Much better than the rock hard ones that were on when I purchased it. Decent ride, handling, no flat spots so far, but this is the first winter in...

Re: Engine Noise - Help-Opinions?

Yes, he recommended and placed an aluminum gear, as I like my Good and Plenty's in the box, not in my engine. On the Tip - absolutely especially from the super-quick turnaround, great...

OK - problem seems to be solved. Tried the oil change, STP - it didn't do it for about 20 minutes then the intermittent knock started. When I started to listen for it (long handled screwdriver), it...
