yes Joe , That's the rationale behind the recommendation, but where in print did the figure first appear? . I can't find it in the service manuals was it in a 1920s/30s Ford manual, or a Zenith...

Just got this out of packet ( froma reputable supplier!) and crikey it just came to pieces!! Which begs the question- what normally keeps the pieces together? Are they soldered? braized? friction...

not marked lower half bodies were produced by Holley Jul- Dec 1928 ( from Steve Pargeter's excellent Zenith Model A Guidelines Restoration Guide) . FYI they are all interchangeable.

Removal of the side plate of the timing cover. To remove this undo the two retaining side bolts (7/16th) , the three front bolts ( 9/16th) and the sump nut which also retains it. The sump nut...

..... but only on the assumption that the cam notch and the rotor arm key have been correctly and accurately located during their manufacture:). ( and as we all know there are some rogue parts out...

Trouble with these collars is you have to take the pump off and to pieces to fit the collar. I am sure I saw somewhere a two-part collar that could be fitted over the shaft without removing the whole...
