Isn't that why the EFV8 club has Concours, Touring & Rouge classes? Doesn't touring fit the bill for what you are saying......Allowing for certain "modern day" parts, adaptions etc...

Perhaps the "tale" told of the "33 block" (as installed at the factory) is MORE believable (for me) IF said B400 had been assembled "overseas" as opposed to here in the USA and "exported". Obviously...

There is NO need to "shorten" the shaft on the water pump IF you have the 33-34 short snout water pump. You can get a complete rebuild kit including a new empeller from Renner's...

ALSO check the vacuum hose "supplying" the wiper motor from under the hood, you will most likely find it cracked and leaking THUS "NO" wipers....you might replace that hose before you try the wipers...
