I take it you are working on a leather back. you don`t to put a whole lot of nails in when installing the wood. the hole are big so you can find them when installing the top material and hid`em or...

just undo the upholstery right there and remove the three nuts and the lower leg of that bracket and remove the pivot pin. and replace the whole bracket. if yours is a early one that is cast or later...

it use to be in the standards, but I could not find it in the latest revision. if I remember correctly the early 28`s had ford script on them. but that was discontinued in 28. 31 did not have ford...

the back of the back seat has a pair of hinges and a spring latch on the top it will come forward about 10" or so when you remove the seat bottom. it will NOT fold down there is a little area back...

no felt, but on the early 68A`s some had a wood insert on the back side. your should not have anything but the wind lace.

you have to fill the chamber while assembling. I too use synthetic. if they start leaking they will be dry in no time.
