Re: Bearing ID

Impressive packaging to say the least. Wax-coated box--->wrapped in heavy wax paper--->another layer of heavy wax paper--->nicely greased. I'll grab a rag tomorrow and see if I can find a number.

Bearing ID

Long-shot that it's an 'A' part, but it was with a box of Model A parts I acquired quite some time ago. Been sealed in wax since '51. Really could belong to ANYTHING, but I figure worth asking. I...

Re: pinpointing month date-of-assembly

Really didn't mean to imply determining the exact day. Wording should have been month.
Turns out to be Sept-->Dec 1930 (165-C). Likely closer to December. Going through Steve's articles (and with...

pinpointing month date-of-assembly

Other than the frame stamp and block stamp, any other markers/clues to pinpoint the assembly date? I have March '31 written down for my 165-C, but engine block is 11/06/29 (no help). For the life of...

A&L Parts contact number

I have tried the number(s) listed in the vendor 'stickies' for A&L (Conn):
860/693.0112
860/693.2620
plus alternate Conn. area code:
203/693.0112
203/693.2620

No luck with any of the above....

after-market hubcap difference Q

With the 30/31 hubcap reproductions, what is the difference between the 'show quality' and straight reproductions? Material thickness or amount of sheen/shine (both?)? I've looked, but don't see...

Eaton cap ID help

I'm having trouble getting the gas cap to seat (or even catch) properly. Before I try to manipulate the tabs, or look at the tank neck closer, should be an Eaton, correct?

Re: 160-A vs. 165-A interior

My apologies for dredging up an old thread, but....did the 165-A have the same interior as the 160-A?
