Thanks for your thoughts, I do have a voltmeter in the dash, so I can check at any time if the alternator is working. Next step is to check battery connections, after that I will start it and see...

Any one have a rear main cap drain tube that they can measure for length,and shape ? Mine is .375 dia,but really short for some reason. I have the pan off,would be easy to replace. Thanks

My Canadian 31 Coupe is stamped on the front cross member I F 3594,which I think was built in the east Windsor plant in Ontario Canada. It is also registered under that number here in BC
