I never had a problem with a leak until i tried the "new and improved modern rubber gasket". When you need the car running the next day, your choices are limited. Plus satisfaction with no cost DIY...

I had a sheet of 1/8" cork gasket laying around. I laid the gasket material on a smooth board on my workbench and clamped the upside down bowl on top and used an exacto knife to cut...

I'm replacing a messed up radiator neck.
Should the notches on the top of the neck be parallel or perpendicular to the top of the radiator so the quail will point straight ahead?
