As a...

Balancing wire wheels with steel plate welded inside

I hate to reopen the tire balance discussion again but i've read all of the old threads and have not found anyone talk about this idea. I have gone thru all the wheels I have (no tire mounted) and...

Has anyone painted a Model A using TPC Global Restoration Shop Paint?
If so what color(s) did you use, what type of paint and what did you think of the color match?

Re: Any luck with paint from tcp?

I used TCP Restoration Shop paint on a closed cab pickup. The body Rock Moss Green was single stage acrylic urethane and the black was single stage acrylic enamel. Hardener was used with both. Both...

Re: front fender brace straightening

Since the light bar fits you have half the battle won. I had to do a lot of tweaking to get the fender braces to fit and was happy to find that the metal does bend nicely. Trial and error and take it...

Re: Depth of threads for ratchet nut?

Based on the two crankshafts I have laying around the hole is not tapped all the way to the bottom. I was able to thread a ratchet nut all the way in so based on these two cranks you would be good at...

Thanks to everyone for your feedback and excellent picture. Bert's had a nice inner cap of the correct style and its being shipped to us. Like everyone stated we don't understand how this could have...

We are working on a late year 1928 that a friend of mine just picked up. While pulling the engine and transmission we discovered that the u Joint inner cover was not there. Today while in search of...

Re: Speedometer not registering

The after market cables are usually too short and require a spacer in the drive gear end. Push the cable all the way into the drive gear and measure how much sticks out of the speedometer end. Then...

Re: 1958 332 Fuel Pump

I've attached photos of the two arm shapes we are seeing. The one with the straighter arm came out of the car. The other is the style I see listed.

1958 332 Fuel Pump

I'm working on a 1958 Fairlane with a 332 engine. The car has a bad duel action fuel pump but does not have any vacuum accessories. We would like to replace it with a single action pump but the...

Re: So is this pick up a 29 or a 30 ?

Digger,
I would be interested when the engine was stamped for your new truck. I also have an early 30 with a late February engine date and it has 21" wheels and the 1929 bumper. (Where as yours has...

Re: A Piece of Advice

You will be surprised at how warped the outlet casting often is. Blue check the outlet casting to the manifold. Work the high spots on the casting until there is nearly full contact. At that point it...

Re: Early 30 Pickup Floorboard Quandry

I got the floorboards for my early 30 pickup from Mac's. (Part # A35130/31B) Snyder's also lists the same part number. The holes matched up and are 3" from the front and 3 1/2" from the rear as you...

Re: February '30 Pickup Bumper????

The early 30 that I have with an engine stamped in late February has the 28 - 29 bumper and brackets. I am aware of 2 others with that bumper. I did however see a photo of one (not a factory photo)...

Re: Painting whitewalls black

I would recommend Tire Paint from Miller Tire. If you turned the tires so the white is in and paint with this it would be very hard to tell they were whitewalls.
