Speedometer cable

I am working on a 32 Ford Roadster that was turned into a hot rod back in the 50s.

Shims should be set when the engine is Align bored.
What I mean is
When I Align Bore the engine to size, the shims are installed.

Pressure check 3rd main. Model B

Hey all
Just looking for a little advice.
I am going to install a 3rd main oil seal In a Model B engine. The instructions say to pressure check the main bearing with oil to 10lbs.

Iím working on a Model B Engine, and Iím curious what your opinions are on having the crankshaft ground for an oil seal. Also if you choose that route what seal is recommended.

I didnt convert the transmission over. I went thru it, cleaned and reassembled with new bearings. Iíd imigine it must be missing a thrust washer then. From what I remember this...

I have a 32 Ford that Iím currently working on. Problem I have is it wonít stay in 2nd unless your hold it. Shifts great, runs great.
The car is an Model B engine and 32 transmission....

Its not heating the gear that's the issue the crank will act as a heat sink. The issue is if the flame hits the Babbitt then it will melt. Best to pull the crank and do it on the bench. Generally no...
