Anyone have new seats that could measure how far it is from the top of the valve to the deck?

I'm concerned my valves are to deep and have already had my block at the machine shop for over a year...

It is my understanding that some of the merc pinions were welded to the drive shaft. Does anyone have a picture of this? Did they weld the coupler at both ends? Were the shaft and pinion splined?

Good places to get them are H&H or patricks. Get the pro flow valves. I couldnt set lash so im having new seats put in and if need be shorten the stems.

i think they are later 36. i say this because of the larger diameter boss located at the base of the spindle. when converting to hydraulic brakes you get 2 parts, one to index the larger backing...

my motor came with a cam and i was wondering if i could id it. the lift is at .357 and it has EA and a 8 casted into the shaft. ring any bells?
