Re: Model A transport

Thats crazy about S Dakota. I have a small enclosed trailer used mostly for motorcycles and construction. It has literally been pulled up and down the east coast and into Canada many, many times....

Re: Model A transport

Never used a transport company, but there is a good thread on the AACA forum regarding a transport nightmare! I would check with references well, before making a decision. Going for the guy that...

Re: Independence Day Parade Model A Decorating Ideas

Its a copy of a period advertisement. Its on the very last page (100) of the May/June issue. Not really any info on that page other than a reference to the book. I am sure the AACA library has it....

Re: Which Car-Like Vehicles Can Tow a Model A?

Better yet, so many think a $80k plus F250 with high rise suspension is needed to get groceries,
BTW, I am pleading Temporary insanity from your avatar.

Re: Removing the entire side of a 30 coupe - 1 piece?

Might be a dumb question, but if you are using the 2 bodies shown, why not just do a body swap instead of a conversion?

Re: Antique Ford T and A tool display

Thats Pretty cool! Nice job. Not owning an A, I would surmise that one can do all of the maintennance work needed with what is in that box. Its kinda funny that we now need a huge rolling tool cart...

Re: Stainless Steel Model A

Off the cuff, and only speculation, There is a mountain range in the Pittsburgh area (major steel producing region at one time) called the Allegheny's. Also in the same area is Allegheny County in...

Re: Spray paint

Automotive touch up, is another company. Not sure if they have colours for the 'A', but I have had great luck with others. Its called touch up, but you can get any quantity of paint you want, from a...

Re: Which Car-Like Vehicles Can Tow a Model A?

Agree with getting the biggest you can to tow. Also, if youre planning a rent from Uhaul, I would check with your local dealer first. I had to pick up a chevy cavalier one time and their computer...

Re: Deliver model A from NYS to SC

Not sure of your aversion to a 'large mover', but they do these kind of things on a regular basis and know all of the ins and outs. I would make sure if you do get someone 'looking for something to...

Re: Take a gander at this.

Those old planes are def. cool! However I think you guys are crazy to fly them, LOL. I never had the flying bug, my son does and I keep telling him to take lessons so he wont regret not doing so...

Re: Hershey cancelled

Dissapointed but not surprised. I think the timing is fine. Although it is a day of decision for me to go, as I am only half hour away, I would guess that the majority need to make plans months in...

Re: iPhone App to Track Maintenance, Fuel Ups, Etc.

I have a 3 ring binder to track maintanence on my vehicles as well. 2 work trucks, 2 DD, 2 classics and half dozen motorcycles. Each vehicle has a tab and a spreadsheet I printed. I can enter info...

Re: Wind Wing Glass - Closed Car

Just an outsiders observation, but unless they are etched with a design, tempered glass is really not that expensive. If one has the brackets a paper or light cardboard template can be made of the...

Re: Station wagon rear fenders

I was thinking the same. That kind of repair needs to be done by someone that knows 'panel beating', not the average collision repair. I have seen some guys that could make that piece from a piece of...

Re: Title

Good Luck, check with you local DMV, lots of good advice here. In MD, there is no physical verification of vin and car. You take the piece of paper in, sign it over to the dmv and they mail you a new...

Re: So you have an all original car...OK...

I have been involved in this debate on other forums. If you go all the way back to post #2 this is my opinion on the subject. Wear items should be considered as ok to replace and still retain...

Re: English language - a bit off topic

My older brother has spent a fair amount of time in Europe, Germany in particular. His wife, a Canadian, lived in Germany for a number of years, so they have plenty of German friends. My mother was...
