Re: Finding original options / paperwork

1967 I believe. Something about a fire destroyed earlier if I'm thinking right. I also believe there are some of the baby bird records.

Re: 40 ford master cylinder

If NAPA brand part is concourse correct and functions as original I would just save the original on a shelf. It wouldn't be any different than going to the Ford dealer back in the day. Ford subbed...

Re: Help Please - Engine Mounts for 1958 Ford Ranch Wagon 351W Conversion

Might try the HAMB, lots of post about the swap. I didn't think there was any difference on the car frame between 6 or 8. My last 58 has been gone 25 years.

Re: Anyone own a 1966-1967 Fairlane 500?

Had a 67 Cyclone GT, beautiful car and just the right size but sold. Now days I would do a 289 model. Old hands can't reach around to get past big blocks in unibodies.

Re: 1955 ford Ranch Wagon Radiator Question

Have you upgraded the charging system? Might be a lot of draw with all the fans on high with headlamps etc.

Re: Converting a 6V dash cluster to 12V

I once converted a 52 F series and used the gauges from mid/late 70's P series trucks. They looked the same and bolted right in used the IVR and they worked. I left the gas tank sender up to the...

Re: Vlaue of a 390

My 67 Ford shop manual shows how to change intake gaskets on 390 and they are using a engine hoist on intake. Not a bad idea actually.

Re: FORD/MERCURY 1939-1948...Differences (Re-Boot)

I do find the differences interesting. Is the frame stretched out in front of firewall and engine pushed 4 inches forward along with the longer hood and fenders or is it in the main body? Longer...

Re: Vlaue of a 390

http://www.fordfe.com/index.php? This may help. Just from reading posts there it seems the castings were pretty good in 63/64. 64 blocks will backfit to 58 with no problems but 65 up cars need the...

Re: Rear exit manifolds for flathead 39 Ford

I wonder if back in the day the muffler was a restriction so the police manifold would give you 2 mufflers on the car. Police needed to be quiet. Seems like it would be a lot of engineering, must...

Only 1 left but with a price like that it may be available for awhile. Didn't see where it said manual or power.

Re: Mystery Car

The body almost looks like the Weyman? fabric bodies. At first glance I wanted to say it was a Case but couldn't find and other pictures. Interesting thread.

Re: To be or not to be a 1936 club cabriolet

That is very good advice. I have done some things in my automotive past that still come back and haunt me.

Re: How to Spot a fake 1955 Convertible???

Would think it would depend on how far someone tried to go to fake one. In the serial plate if it wasn't changed the body code would tell. I have not seen one for years but I believe the convertibles...

Re: 2 hoses from control valve to ram on 61 full size Ford

Yes it's a double acting ram, if it's hooked opposite it will push against the direction your turning. Probably a battle a person wouldn't win. Hopefully someone here has the diagram that covers.

Re: Use of avgas?

Is it possible to pay road us tax at airports? Was just curious, back in the drag strip days I was told the airport wouldn't sell here because of no road tax on it.

Re: Rear Bumper Dumpers Heads Up

Ford always exits exhaust to the sides on wagons I believe, up into the eighties anyway. For that reason.
