Had a 70’s Chrysler 383 that overheated. They tried for several days to start it. I squirted oil into the cylinders and it started like nothing ever happened. There were no problems. I would have...

I am under the impression the engine overheated but did not seize. This can dry the cylinder walls but cause no other damage. I could be wrong here.

Squirt oil into the cylinders then turn the engine over several times with the starter. Reinstall spark plugs, start up and drive away.

Air plane repair shops should have Pro Seal in bulk cans both sealant and hardener in separate cans. Sealant white and hardener black. Mix to a gray color. The mechanic can help with this. They...

Do not remove and ship the engine. Your rebuilder needs to hear the noise with everything as is. He can find a lot of excuses otherwise.
