I have 4each 12 ton ,6 ton and 3 ton jackstands. That provides a height for about any use.

I use loctite pipe sealant as mentioned. It has been proven in industry for years.

Another thought. The wheel rim is 90 yrs old and if it was pitted and thin from rust i t can easily crack and blow out.

As Tom and Charly said doit by feel. Just a slight drag because it will probably get tighter from the press fit in the banjo.

Also you will probably have to try a couple of times with the nuts as...

Did you remove pinion and driveshaft from the center to put in OD drive shaft?
I do not see how a working rear end could be that much out of spec.

Flat head Ted makes a kit to make the front and rear self energizing. They work well and have gotten good reviews.

The rear need to be adjusted so rear brakes have more force. See Les Andrews....

I would agree about the epoxy. Bad idea. I have used a carbon rod in the perch hole and welded up the oval void, Much safer as that is one of your main suspension parts.

It is probably a replacement. The owner used bolts instead of rivets.
If all the bolts are there it would be easier just to use it.
Replace missing bots and check all for tight.
