Re: Plugging Away on The 32' Roadster

Yes, They should work just fine! The longer one will be mounted on the driver's side and the shorter on the passenger side. Enjoying your posts! Pat

Re: Brake Light Switch Revisited - 1930 Model A

Yes, I have seen them mounted vertically also. Mine will only mount one way (two ways if you want the connections on top). I guess it depends on which hole the brake rod is "peeking" thru.

Re: Brake Light Switch Revisited - 1930 Model A

Ray, I'm thinking it was a poor design in the first place. After all, Ford went back to locating this switch on the transmission in 1932 using a spring connection. So, I'll probably "improve" on...

Re: Brake Light Switch Revisited - 1930 Model A

Tom, the brake rod on the other side has an extension of about 3/4" with a flat surface. When it travels forward it also travels upward just a little because of the round pivot of the cross shaft...

Hello All,

The last time I posted I mentioned that when I took possession of my 1930 Town Sedan, the brake switch was located on the outside of the driver's side frame rail. Knowing that it was...

Re: Who Remembers Model "A" Parts in the Sears Catalog?

The '30 Town Sedan I just acquired has Sears Allstate tires on it. They have plenty of tread left, but the sidewalls look a little dry-rotted. I won't be driving it very far with these tires on it....

Re: Basic trouble shooting 32 generator

If you have a stock generator...it has a third brush built in that is adjustable. Remove the band around the generator and it should be the brush that is facing you. "Push" it with a screw driver...

Re: LED Tail Lights for 36 6 volts

If the Mac's LED tail lights are made by United Pacific...they are good quality. I just replaced the "teacup" tail light on my '30 Ford with an LED unit from Bratton's and they were made by United...
