Re: 1936 Coupe

I have a pair of 5" wide fives for my coupe. I've been told they're off a commercial vehicle and pretty hard to find. I know guys that are building vintage race cars covet them...

Re: NJ race of gentlemen 2019

The TROG in Pismo was under grey, blustery and rainy skies, with big surf and high tides hassling the action, and it was still incredible.

Re: '39 trans in a '35 coupe -- rear mount question

Tom.... so you removed the the '35 "ears" and installed the '37 - '40 cross piece. It looks like the '35 mount drops right on allowing you to bolt the trans in using the later rubber doughnuts and...

'39 trans in a '35 coupe -- rear mount question

I'm dropping a '39 trans into my '35 coupe, along with a complete '40 rear end -- brakes, bones, torque tube, etc -- and had a question: Can I replace the '35 rear vulcanized mount with one that...

Re: V8 Stuff on HAMB

You'd be surprised at how much great stuff gets sold and swapped on Instagram -- without ever really "hitting the market." It doesn't take a lot of effort to figure out who to follow either. Think of...

Re: Bring a Trailer

I'd be interested in how the process goes as well. I've been a BaT fan for quite awhile -- as a lurker, not a buyer/seller -- but I'm working on an OT car that I'm considering auctioning there....

Re: Confusion reigns - 32 and 38 steering wheel interchangeability

This is an easy fix as Mart has indicated. I've grafted tops to bottoms before to get good threads and keyway on an otherwise throwaway shaft. Use a drilled sleeve to run your wires thru.

Re: Bring a Trailer

We just finished putting on Woodies on the Wharf here in Santa Cruz, our 25th anniversary of the event. Over 180 woodies showed up and one of the big topics of the day was woodie prices. General...

Re: Will I fit in a Roadster??

Take a look at the photos from the pre- and post WWII Dry Lakes era. Lots of guys standing around cars and no one is overweight. No one. Compare that to photos of today's events...

Re: Will I fit in a Roadster??

Big difference in these two, and nowhere to move the seat back in an RPU. I sold my '28 RPU because it was so tight -- I'm 5' 11" and 170. Mine was a hot rod, too, so the seat was as thin, and low,...

Re: How I listen to my Ipod, Android or Iphone through the tube 53' Merc radio

How do you control the volume? On your MP3 player -- or via a rheostat between the amp and speakers?

I don't have a radio in my '35 so I'm looking for an amp I could install that's...

Re: First time out of the garage

Not to change the topic, but will you have it together in time for Woodies on the Wharf? It's our 25th anniversary so there's a LOT going on this year.

Re: 39 Woody For sale on CL

Heads up, that missing passenger-side rear fender is woodie-specific and a real unicorn. When I built my '38 (same body wood as the '39) it took me a year to track one down, then I had to pass a...

Re: Need source for these DUAL window regulator springs

Hahaha. My kinda luck. With a heads-up from another Barner I found another regulator on eBay, it's a junker but had the dual spring. Price was twenty bucks. This one you found looks "too nice to cut...
