Re: Dash mounted flower vase

This is the vase bracket that Reen made for my '28 roadster. He is a talented man and always willing to assist those of us with limited skills.

What are these straps

These straps have been floating around in my boxes of A parts for years. Does anyone have any idea what they are and what they are supposed to be for?

Re: Help on 'UNIVERSAL TOP IRONS"

Jerbo,
I had to do a search for "universal top irons" having never heard of them.
The ones offered by Speedway are very different from the original irons on my '28 roadster. If you posted a photo...

Re: Vicky Question

The Victoria came with two styles of front seats. The early style, from introduction to about May Ď31 were, I believe, the same as the phaeton.
The later style seats are the same as the A400. There...

Re: Selfmade a top boot

Brad, thanks for posting the close-up pictures!
Interesting that none of the snaps along the top of the seat back are fastened to anything. I though it was just me.

Re: Selfmade a top boot

Werner, I think the snaps are to attach at the top rail behind the seat, but I'm not certain. There are no snap fasteners behind the seat top on my roadster.

Re: Selfmade a top boot

Werner, here are some photos of the top boot for my '28 roadster. I don't know if it is correct per the Judging Standards, but it came with the top. I hardly ever put it on, it's kind of a PITA. If...

Re: "Belting the Vic"

Shew, the center support plate pictured has the tab attached to support the sliding seat rail. The rail is riveted to the tab. Your leatherback Victoria would probably not have the sliding driver's...

Re: My friend Kenís Model A -V8

Nice period ride! When I was in my first year in college I found a similar Tudor down at Antique Automotive in San Diego, with a 289 Ford V-8. I could not convince my dad that I needed that Tudor to...

Early Ď28 hand brakes

Working on my roadster, I noticed the cut out in the left side frame rail.
Is this where the left side brake handle would be on an early car?
The date stamp on the tank is 12-28-28, pretty late in...

Re: Back flushing

I put together the same system that Tom suggested with a trip to Home Depotís plumbing department, all PVC pipe. You can probably do that as well.

Re: Radiator shroud fit question

It’s been a while, but it was difficult aligning the shroud tabs on my radiator. I don’t know what brand the radiator is, but I gave up in the end and used black zip ties at the bottom.
